Question: Do all temporary international insurance plans contain the same features found here?
Answer: No! All temporary international insurance plans do NOT contain the same features.
* Many Temporary plans do NOT contain a minimum benefit period, as do the plans here.
* Many Temporary plans are NOT backed by insurers legally registered in most or all States.
NOTE: Another Temporary plan Inbound USA (separate page) is designed as a low-cost option for older travelers (60+) or for those concerned with "pre-existing conditions." Otherwise, the Temporary plans seen on this page are far more comprehensive and (we believe) better choices. All Temporary Plan Details Below
Compare: Atlas Series / Diplomat Plans / Liaison International
______________________________________________
Atlas Series (opens in a new Window) Atlas America is for non US-citizens traveling anywhere outside of their home country. For coverage details, click-on "Review Coverage" at the bottom of the quote page.
Atlas America - some potential advantages for you (see plan literature for details):
The Atlas plans contain no exclusion for travel for treatment. Therefore, follow-up treatment for a covered condition first diagnosed or treated while outside of your Home Country, will continue to be covered for the remainder of the Benefit Period, anywhere you wish, including back in your Home Country, if you so desire. (Note: upon arrival in your home country, the plan terminates, but your present covered condition continues to be covered per the policy for the balance of the plan's 6 month Benefit Period.)
Treatment for Complications of Pregnancy during the first 26 weeks of pregnancy is covered under the Atlas Series of plans. Most other temporary heath and travel insurance plans exclude coverage for treatment of pregnancy related conditions.
Note to all Atlas America applicants: The plan administrator (MNUI). does not mail you an insurance packet, unless specifically requested. When purchasing on-line, you are asked if you want "on-line fulfillment?" Unless you click the drop-down box and select otherwise, you will not be mailed a policy certificate and ID. There is no additional charge if you select "US mail." In either case, please be sure to print your on-line insurance confirmation page and/or your e-mail insurance confirmation.
Diplomat Plans (opens in a new Window) 1. Diplomat America is for foreign nationals visiting the USA for one year or less.
2. Diplomat International is for US-citizens traveling abroad for one year or less.
3. Diplomat LT is for both US-citizens and non US-citizens who want renewable coverage (up to 36 months) and other outstanding plan features. There are 2 separate rate tables for travel that (1) includes, or (2) excludes the USA.

However, these are not the same type of plans you might get from a travel agent either. These plans are typically much more comprehensive. Here is just a sample of the benefits contained in these plans. (See plan literature for details.)
